The Residence by No.2 Collection

No.2 Collection has transformed a historic townhouse in the heart of Toronto into a living gallery that challenges conventional perspectives on art curation.

Interior stylist and curator Kaela Shaw, the collection's founder, reimagines the traditional gallery experience within the intimate confines of a meticulously restored Victorian home.

Working alongside Clarisa Llaneza Studio, Shaw preserved the building's iconic bay-and-gable architecture while infusing it with contemporary sophistication. Original architectural details provide the perfect backdrop for a curated collection of modern artworks and vintage treasures.

Instead of stark white walls and formal gallery lighting, visitors discover artworks naturally integrated into lived-in spaces. The collection features works from artists across the globe, emphasizing raw materials, neutral palettes, and rich textures—signature elements of No.2 Collection's distinctive aesthetic. Each room unfolds its own narrative, with artwork and design pieces arranged in intimate vignettes that feel both intentional and organic.

The collection's international scope adds another layer of distinction to the project. The Residence features works from artists across Japan, Hong Kong, Spain, Belgium, the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Korea, the USA, and Canada. Each piece is thoughtfully positioned to complement the residential atmosphere while preserving its artistic integrity.

Available by appointment only, this carefully curated space invites art collectors, designers, and enthusiasts to experience fine art in an intimate setting. From the preserved architectural details to the atmospheric lighting, every element contributes to an immersive journey through design, craftsmanship, and artistic expression.
