Sirimiri is a British product design company offering lifestyle products to conscious consumers. With backgrounds in high-end property and Interior Design, the founders Lucy Pickavance and Lauren Wood use their considerable experience to design and produce products that are both luxurious and sustainable.

The Sirimiri brand was born over countless “al desko” lunches in a busy London design office. Throughout their lunch breaks, the founders would often discuss and research ways in which they could both lead a more sustainable lifestyle.
As their research progressed, they began to realise the significant impact that their designs and the related manufacturing processes involved could have on the planet. The pivotal moment came when they began researching the textile industry – upon discovering the levels of chemicals and water involved in producing textiles, they knew they had to change the way in which products were made and focus on creating a collection of sustainable homewares, and so Sirimiri was created.

They do this by designing to minimise waste and pollution, working with regenerative natural and sustainable materials and reducing energy consumption through long-lasting design. When the question is asked “is this product sustainable” they wanted to genuinely and resolutely be able to say to their clients “yes”.
With these shared values, it was only natural that they came together to form Sirimiri.
The Sirimiri journey will constantly evolve as they continue to educate themselves and research and develop new and improved ways to design and manufacture products.
Their Bed Linen:
Made with wood fibres from sustainably managed forests, their fabric is light as a feather, cool to touch and incredibly soft. Their fabric is silky smooth and finely knit, acting as a breathable second skin. Through rigorous research and months of “sleep trialling” they have found a sustainable and luxurious new fabric and in-turn sleep experience.
Their Fabric:
Their fabric is derived from the inner pulp of trees. The pulp is then processed into a yarn and weaved into a fabric which in turn gets made into their linens. They have complete visibility of their supply chain. In addition, all pulp production is totally chlorine free and any solvents that are used in the making of the fibres are 90% recovered and reused.
The yarn is then transported to Italy to be made into fabric at factories that use renewable energy sources. The fabric is cut and sewen in Italy and finished with sustainable cotton threads and corozo nut buttons - making them 100% sustainable and biodegradable.
Their Bedding:
It is estimated that up to 10 million tons of plastic waste enters the ocean from coastal communities each year. Plastic bags, bottles and other plastic accumulates forming huge patches of waste. In the ocean plastic pollution impacts sea turtles, whales, sea birds, fish, coral reefs, and countless other species and habitats. Marine and bay areas are increasingly becoming less viable environments for humans and animals alike.c
Sirimiri have been working tirelessly to manufacture bedding in line with their sustainability ethos and are thrilled to present luxurious, hypo-allergenic and ultra-soft bedding made from recycled plastics through the Social Plastic®️ scheme.
What is Social Plastic®️?
Founded in 2013, Plastic Bank began their quest to reduce the amount of plastic waste in the environment whilst also helping to alleviate poverty in developing countries. The goal of Plastic Bank is to prevent plastic waste from entering rivers and oceans in regions that do not have efficient and formal waste or recycling systems, while opening new opportunities for people living in poverty. This is done via an exchange system. Plastic Bank incentivises people in such regions to collect plastic waste thus preventing it from entering the ocean.
The plastic collected by Plastic Bank is then cleaned and recycled becoming Social Plastic®️ which is sold to organisations who want to create a more sustainable, eco-friendly, and socially responsible supply chain for their products.
Sirimiri are proud to be using this waste as part of their homeware collection. Sirimiri have partnered with a UK manufacturing company who have embraced this new high technology product and have turned it into soft, fluffy, long-lasting duvets, and pillows which keep their shape, as well as being breathable and hypo-allergenic.
