AD Miller is a Los Angeles-based creative studio founded by architect and designer Adam Miller. The studio’s work spans from architecture and interiors to sculptures, lighting, and homeware products.
Trained in architecture and design in the US and Denmark, Adam’s design philosophy is rooted in a holistic approach that encompasses the importance of designing at all scales. His time living abroad in Italy further developed his appreciation for the art of storytelling through every piece he creates. Each project is approached with the aim of creating powerful yet quiet gestures, while emphasizing honesty in materiality.
Prior to founding his studio, Adam gained over 10 years of experience working for award-winning architects in the Los Angeles area.

The Vault Lamp is a collaboration with Van Den Weghe, the renowned Belgian stone company, for their product line Van Den Weghe Items. The lamp is fabricated from a solid block of stone and is offered in multiple types of travertine. The design aims to have a strong presence in a space, whether the lamp is illuminated or sitting dormant. The form has various references from the costume design of Stanley Kubrick’s ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ to Le Corbusier’s Borne Béton concrete lamp.

The Stage Lamp line was designed to create a technical lamp within a pared-back form consisting of a circle and a cylinder. The round knob draws the hand in to direct the light as desired. The versatility of the lamp allows for ambient light or direct light depending on its direction. The Stage Lamp line consists of two versions, a table lamp and a floor lamp. Both come in a white, warm grey, and dark grey colour.
