Argot Studio, a Paris-based sustainable design brand creating 3D printed collectable pieces, is launching its first collection on SSENSE this October. Featuring bio-sourced and recycled materials, these versatile, sculptural pieces are intended to fit your interior and last a lifetime.
Founded by Irish designer, Eimear Ryan in 2018, and later joined by her French husband, Jean-Eloi Rateau, Argot Studio’s mission is to conceive exceptional quality designs and reimagine objects in a forward-thinking, and environmentally responsible way.
For Eimear, balance and consideration are a common thread as she draws inspiration both from brutalist architecture and organic forms to envision a poetic contrast with a twist.
Argot Studio is committed to mindful and responsible business in design, production and development. Argot pieces are produced using 100% plant origin raw materials (PLA derived from corn) with 70% of the material used originating from recycled food packaging collected in Belgium. Each piece is recyclable or industrially biodegradable. In addition, Argot upholds a zero waste policy by upcycling off-cuts and scrap materials.
By adopting the latest 3D printing technology, Argot’s production is efficient and automated, and therefore has minimal labour intensity. Argot Studio is committed to conscious production practices with all items made-to-order, produced locally in the Parisian atelier and packaged using recycled materials.
The Argot x SSENSE curated launch will feature a carefully considered selection of the brand’s newest innovations from the F/W collection including the ‘Bau Bowl’, alongside some of the classic favourites such as ‘The Double Vessel’.
