Situated on a charming Notting Hill street, Akub is a Palestinian restaurant that celebrates the diverse flavours and culinary heritage of the region.

With a focus on locally sourced British ingredients, Akub offers a truly unique dining experience. Housed within a residential building, the restaurant boasts a layout reminiscent of a cozy home, featuring distinctively styled areas throughout.

The interior design of Akub, spearheaded by Annie Harrison of FARE INC., a design studio based in London, has transformed an old townhouse into a captivating space that embodies the essence of Palestinian hospitality. Known for their expertise in creating urban finishes that are beautifully considered, paired with textured fabrics and elegant lighting, FARE INC. has brought their experience to life in Akub. Every detail, from the custom verdigris light fixtures to the tapestry-adorned bespoke seating, has been carefully curated to enhance the dining experience of each guest.

The interiors draw inspiration from the Palestinian landscape, featuring textured wall coverings, olive green upholstery, and mottled wood veneers that exude warmth and authenticity. The space is further elevated with exquisite calacatta oro marble and mother of pearl tiles sourced directly from the region.

On the lower level, guests will find a captivating subterranean bar adorned with a mesmerising mural hand-painted on-site by Tess Newall Studio, creating a whimsical and enchanting cocktail area. The lighting, meticulously designed by the FARE INC. team, features a bespoke verdigris finish and is proudly manufactured in the UK.
